Originally, I was going to be going with Serbi and BSS as well as with Alex, my son who is a freshman in high school, but as life often does, plans changed.
Of course I was disappointed that Serbi and BSS couldn't make the show, but, honestly, I know that attending that show with Alex was a special night. He was all smiles. For one thing, it was his first rock concert. For a second thing, it was really rewarding to me, as a father, to see my son with his fist pumping in the air and screaming out the lyrics of Shine Down's "Second Chance" as they played it.
Because I had secured two photo passes to write a review for http://www.dailyvault.com, we entered the arena not through the general admission line in the back of the arena but, rather, through the main entrance on the floor of the arena.
I got this phone on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, and, sadly, between that date and Sunday, August 25, 2013, I did not become an expert user. I was still learning how to operate it. Some of the videos are rather interesting, including the one where I forgot the video camera was on and put it in my pocket. Thus, I make no declarations about awesome quality. The same is true for the pictures as I was still learning how to use my new toy.
The first band, We As Human, began at 5:00 and the last band, Shinedown, finished their set promptly at 11 PM. We stopped at McDonald's on the way home. On Monday, 8/26/13, Alex went to school and yes, he was tired. This page is to be a document of proof, if you will, that the night was a fantastic night for both Alex and I.
