Quality Engineer/Technical Writer

Implement and sustain elements of the QMS (Quality Management System). These include corrective actions, supplier quality management, root-cause analysis for customer complaints, change control, audit process, standard procedures, test methods and process controls.
Write, edit, and deploy standardized technical documentation for the organization. This includes but is not limited to Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms, ISO14001 documentation, Material and Design Specifications, Training Materials, Polices, etc.
Serve as the champion for the Document Control System for the organization.
Conduct formal root-cause analysis and corrective actions to understand and eliminated defective products.
Develop process controls of reduce process variation to target control limits.
Generate quality scorecards and report to all aspects of plant quality.
Monitor, control, and analyze product and process quality to meet internal and external customer requirements.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner with production in detecting root causes for defects during production phases.
Work with management staff in analyzing data for purpose of developing and implementing preventative measures to limit or eliminate quality defects.
Participate in and facilitate Lean Six Sigma process improvement opportunities throughout the plant.
Assist with resolution on customer NCR claims in concert with Warranty Claims Manager, by participating in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
Abides by, supports and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, AADG policies and procedures and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.

#CB Education:
Associates Degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred in technical field.
Six sigma or Lean GB certification desired or ability to attain within 1 year.

Experience:
0-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

Other:
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to be able to identify problems quickly and find the underlying causes so changes can be made.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills. Will work closely with quality technicians, supply chain, engineering, and operations teams throughout the manufacturing facility.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills. This role will relay complex ideas to a wide range of audiences.
Strong attention to detail.
Understanding of Quality Management Tools to include Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, MS-Excel, Visio, DOE, DFR, etc.
Ability to multi-task & handle tasks with competing priorities.
Effective and efficient use of Microsoft office programs including MS-Excel, MS Word, and MS Power-Point, MS Access or comparable programs.
Change agent with energy, passion & enthusiasm.
