I got a text from Alex the other day, asking if I care that he goes out for swimming. Of course not! I've only been waiting for his entire teenage existence for him to follow in my footsteps.
That said, it's a cautionary tale. He wants to swim a couple of laps to see if he even likes it. I am hoping he says he does.
