I didn't have enough interesting words

This is the first post for Friday, 3-18-2022. I didn't meet the goal I set a couple of days ago to reach an average of 2.07 posts per day for the 14th pseudo-anniversary of this blog. As aforementioned, I consider 3-18-2008 to be the authentic start date for this blog as ... I just told this story so I'm not going to repeat it.

Anyways, prior to this post, I clicked Publish 10558 times.

10558 / 5113 days =  2.064932524936437 (3-18-2008 > 3-18-2022 is 5113 days or 14 years) so I missed the mark by 25 posts and no, I'm not going to do a "25 posts in 1 day" challenge just to artificially inflate my numbers.

I will take a moment to ponder whether I have 10558 posts of interesting content. The list of labels for this blog below are the 26 topics about which I have posted more than 200 times and I would say that, yes, those are all topics about which I would mention if someone were to have a conversation with me. I would mention Metallica and even though I'm not supposed to, I'm sure politics would come up. I'd also talk about my career as a technical writer as well as my 40+ years as a drummer. I'd talk about how life is busy in the context of telling a joke or two before mentioning a basketball game I had attended at Carver-Hawkeye Arena or a movie, such as Star Wars or how I like The Walking Dead, but am not a fan of zombie movies in general, or a concert I have seen in my lifetime, likely mentioning when I met Bayside. I might mention other bands I like, such as Shinedown and Count the Stars as well as heavier bands like Megadeth and Lamb of God. At the end of that conversation, I could say, "Yes, this blog reflects who I am not only on the Internet, but in the real world." I plan to continue posting my thoughts and opinions and critiques and any video that I want to remember in the future.

I envision that in another 14 years, the number of posts per label will (obviously) increase, but I don't really envision many changes except that I would expect "The Walking Dead" to not be in the Top 26 because the TV series is ending in Fall 2022 and, as of this moment, there is only one confirmed TV series - a spin-off with the Negan & Maggie characters going to New York City - that will be released in 2023. Supposedly, there will be a trilogy of movies in The Walking Dead Universe, but there's no release date for those. I don't know if "Fear the Walking Dead" (the TV series) will continue for the next 14 years (I doubt it!) but you never know! All of that to say, I question whether "The Walking Dead" will be on the list when I think about this post on 3-18-2036, which WOW!! is when <knock on wood> when I will be an employee in the HCIS department at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics for 7295 days (19 years, 11 months, 2 weeks, 5 days) and only 10 days from Friday, 3-28-2036, which is the day on which I hope to retire as I will be alive for 24221 days and 66 years, 3 months, 3 weeks, 3 days old AND reach my 20 years as an employee in the HCIS department at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics.
