We'll be Thin on Experience This Fall

Both Ahmad Wagner leaving basketball program & Brady Ellingson leaving Hawkeye basketball program are dings in the team. For Ellingson, I feel bad for him. I remember this article from July 2017 - http://daily-iowan.com/2017/07/06/moving-out-of-the-sharpshooter-image - which is where this was written:

Jordan Bohannon and Isaiah Moss seem to be the front-runners right now, but close behind are two players just as talented, Brady Ellingson and Christian Williams.

It's interesting how neither of the "close behind" players are going to be with the team in the 2018-2019 season as Christian Williams left prior to the start of the 2017-2018 season. Ellingson will not be back next year.

One other tidbit about that article is this statistic about Ellingson - Ellingson has averaged 22.8 points and 7 rebounds per game. I didn't see that in the 2017-2018 season. I'd have to go dig around the team statistics, but I'm pretty sure he wasn't close to that type of scoring average.
