Pro Wrestling and American Pride

This article proposes that if there was an actual plan to carve a mountain into four professional wrestling faces, these are the four faces that would be carved:
  1. Steve Austin
  2. John Cena
  3. Hulk Hogan
  4. Bruno Sammartino
Honestly, I'm a John Cena fan, but I really would have to go with Ric Flair instead of John Cena. Austin probably deserves to be there and Hulk Hogan is a given. Bruno Sammartino's wrestling days were long over when I began learning about professional wrestling so I will trust the article's author and assume he knows what he's talking about.

From the same website, this article lists the 5 most patriotic professional wrestlers:
  1. Hulk Hogan
  2. Sgt Slaughter
  3. Hacksaw Jim Duggan
  4. Lex Luger
  5. John Cena

Hello? Anyone remember the professional wrestler "The Patriot" from the WWE?!? This is the article's reasoning behind Cena's inclusion: "Rusev, a Bulgarian wrestler that had been dedicating his matches to Vladimir Putin, entered WrestleMania 31 as the United States Champion.  John Cena not only won the title at that show, he also became the first WWE wrestler to pin him." If this hadn't just happened, I truly doubt Cena would be even mentioned.

Oh well. America is a great country because we are all free to disagree with people that have a different opinion.
