In September 2017, I missed this article about Machine Head's future plans:
Machine Head to release ‘Catharsis’ in January; North American tour announced, but I saw it today. I noticed a Tuesday, February 20, 2018, gig at Wooly's in Des Moines. "Catharsis" is the band's 9th album and it got me thinking about them. I remember seeing them open for Trivium in Cedar Rapids, but, even with that, I've never gotten into them as a band. Maybe I should?
