Sometimes I think about who I would be in another reality where just one thing had gone a different way. In my life, there have been so many things that have workd out the way I wanted them to and if just one of those things had gone the other way, where would I be?
My favorite thought is that when I was really young - like 4 years old - I was running with two of my friends and I gave up. I stopped running. What if that was my moment when I dug in and had not quit. Is that what would have changed my life? To this day, I find it easy to give up. Sometimes, I resist the hard road in favor of the easy route.
