This
article takes a jab at using the word "simply" when used in instructions - do you know how many times I tried to rewrite "in instructions" because it sounds so awkward in my brain?!? - for accomplishing technical tasks. It made me go out to the documentation I am associated with on a daily basis and search for the word.
