Careful What You Ask For

Flat-out, I'm perplexed. There has been no shortage of citizens coming forward and saying that the death of Michael Brown is simply indicative of what it is like to live in Ferguson. Thus, when I received an email at 4:04 PM yesterday with this content, I wasn't surprised.

From Foxnews.com:
Tom Jackson, the chief of the Ferguson, Mo., police department, will resign next week after a federal probe alleged racial profiling and police targeting of African-Americans, the city council says, describing it as a 'mutual separation.'

I was surprised to receive an email today, at 1:18 AM, with this content:

2 police officers have been shot outside the police department in Ferguson, Mo. during protests that followed the resignation of the town's police chief Wednesday

I don't know what is going on in Ferguson. I don't get it. If the police department is unfair and if the leader of that police department is resigning, why would there be a reason to protest? Aren't those same people who thought the leadership was not good and thought there should be a change actually getting what they wanted?
