Proud of Myself

I have been making a real effort to push my steps. I am now averaging more steps than my team of 6 others and more steps than my organization (employer). There are only a few weeks left so I need to keep up the push.

What a Crazy 72 Hours!

Friday, I worked 4 hours, then did training at my previous employer for 2.5 hours, then drove to Holy Cross for Karen's 25th class reunion. Mike, Tim, Brad, and I sat at Bubba's and played euchre until 10:30-ish. Then we spent another 1.5 hours at the party until I drove home, pulling into the garage at 2 AM.

Saturday, Alex and I took down the swingset in our backyard. I guestimated a 2 hour project and it was closer to 4, by the time we got every thing stacked appropriately. I had no shirt and the sun's rays beat redness into my back, arms and chest. It hurts. After the swingset, we worked on putting a volleyball net up. After playing drums at 5:15, Alex and I went to Lowe's and got some bricks to put under the firepit. Around 7:30, the house got loud as Megan's 16th birthday party began. Around 11:00, I found the couch. I was left on the couch because, per Karen, I was snoring and in a deep sleep.

Sunday, we went to Dave and Chris' for lunch. We played 6-handed euchre and lost 2 out of 3 games. Not my best card playing.

Monday (today) is crazy as well. Alex has drum lessons at 5:30, Megan has Heck Week beginning at 6, WWE is on at 7, and I'm not sure how all this is going to get done.

I'm sure the rest of the week will be crazy.

Seriously... Guilty.

Tea Party Explained

Listen carefully. Coborn makes a point about 'the definition of the Tea Party' and the misconceptions being discussed. Lawrence O'Donnell doesn't have an answer to Coborn so he goes off on a tangent about how Coborn apologized to Speaker Reid on the floor of the Senate. What it sounds like to me is this: "You're not talking about what I want to talk about, so I'm going to change the subject and talk about when you apologized and were humbled because that makes you look bad and I get brownie points for praising you, but only because you screwed up."
