Throwing This Up on the Wall and It Stuck

I am listening to an album / compilation of 18 tunes I created nearly 7 years. It is called "2013_04_25_Setlist for Scary Robots" because at the time that I created this album / compilation, Matthew (bass), Brian (guitar), Joe (vocals), and I had not agreed to call our group "Lou's Classic Ride."

This is an outstanding collection of tunes that I think make a fantastic setlist.

Conversion Project Update & Scary Robots Note

This is the reality of how the conversion project is going in 2013.

Today, on 3/15/13, I am 73 days into 2013.365 days in a year, divided by 73, is 5.

On Tuesday, January 1, 2013, my count was 49,154
73 days later, on Friday, March 15, 2013, my count is 50755
73 days later, on Monday, May 27, 2013, my count should be 52356
73 days later, on Thursday, August 8, 2013, my count should be 53957
73 days later, on Sunday, October 20, 2013, my count should be 55558
73 days later, on Wednesday, January 01, 2014, my count should be 57159

I would be happier if I was at 58,000, which is a whopping 841 more than I am projecting. I kind of think that if I get to 58,000, I will be done with the CD to MP3, the cassette to MP3, and the LP to MP3 conversions. I may be able to say "I'm done" at the end of this year. It's an aggressive schedule, but I think I can focus.

Also, it's been confirmed Scary Robots are rehearsing from 5:15 - 8. This is a list of the songs we play well with the ones we are going to work on tonight designated with ** after the song title:
  1. Cheap Sunglasses **
  2. What I Like About You **
  3. Saturday Night is Alright for Fighting **
  4. Stuck In The Middle **
  5. American Girl
  6. Lonely Boy
  7. Rocking in the Free World
  8. Breakup Song
  9. Sunshine of Your Love
  10. Big River

Lots to Do

What a fantastic day to be a technical writer. My plate was full of small tasks that were easily accomplished today.

Yesterday was a lazy day, more or less. In addition to cleaning my bedroom dresser, I sat in the comfy chair in the sitting room and converted my "life tape" CDs to MP3. At the beginning of today, my count is as follows:
50583 File(s) 317,067,358,666 bytes
It's kind of fun to listen to songs that I haven't listened to for a long time. Some of the bands are ones that make me want to locate their entire CD and spin it.

Yesterday was a good Scary Robots rehearsal. I was very happy with being able to nail the drum part for "An American Girl" and it was even better when we did that as our first song, I played well, then we played it again! It felt really good.

What is so Hard about this Song?!?

You know, if I go to a Scary Robots rehearsal and I can't nail a song, I get distraught. It's even worse when the song I can't nail is one that we've been beating around for the last few rehearsals. I need to put this on my MP3 player on repeat, sit down at Alex's Yamaha set and play it and play it and play it. And again. And again.
