RIP
Todd Peters passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2008. He was the drummer for the local rock band Skin Kandy. I never saw him play drums so all I can offer is a video of him playing. My sympathies to his family going through this difficult time.
Todd was the drummer for the KISS tribute band called "Strutter."

Why I hated playing along with recordings & BB
I used to read in Modern Drummer magazine about drummers who would drum along to their heroes. I never really liked that because I could never really hear the recording over my drums. For me, I need to hear the other instruments in order to play with them. Yes, the drummer should nail the tempo but I also like listening to the other instruments.
The following is a cool band I like - Breaking Benjamin. The groove around 3:46 is serious and 3:58 is serious as well.
Skin Kandy is a local band and I like this cover of the Iowa fight song!
