Strings Attached

Editor's Note: This post was conceived and scheduled when Ozzy Osbourne & Megadeth at the Wells Fargo Arena was happening June 30, 2019. It was rescheduled to be Sunday, June 28, 2020, per this article. This post should have been edited to reflect the date change. Also, it was recently disclosed that Megadeth's guitarist / vocalist Dave Mustaine is being treated for throat cancer so it's quite possible that a different band will join Ozzy on the rescheduled dates. Could it be Metallica? Wouldn't that be a great way for Metallica to pay tribute to their friend Ozzy Osbourne? To be clear, I want Dave Mustaine to fully recover and play in Des Moines, IA, on June 28, 2020. However, if Megadeth is unable to tour in 2020, due to his cancer treatment, my vote would be for Metallica to replace Megadeth on the Ozzy Osbourne tour. I guarantee metal fans would love to see that tour happen!!

As I prepare to head to Des Moines, Iowa, to hear Ozzy Osbourne & Megadeth at the Wells Fargo Arena, there's another concert on the horizon: Weird Al Yankovic plays at the McGrath Amphitheater in Cedar Rapids 30 days from today!

Music for tonight!

I Hate Meat Loaf

Meat Loaf - the man - may be a great person, but I do not like his music. There's something about the way the lyrics stink of cliches. Eddie Trunk talks about how he doesn't understand the appeal of acts like Steel Panther & Weird Al Yankovic; I don't understand the appeal of Meat Loaf. All that said, I think this is hilarious.

And I HATE that I can hum the lyrics of that @^@%@% song!!

It's Like a Business Jargon Dictionary

I remember hearing "Another One Rides the Bus" in grade school - haven't kept current with his albums, but that jargon dictionary video makes me want to go back and explore what he's done the last few years...

Weird Al

Oh my... this is funny! My son said he had seen this so he asked me to watch it. It's long - 10 minutes - but it is funny!
