So This is Happening Tonight

I was contacted by Mark, a musician over the weekend and after some messages back and forth, I am heading up to Cedar Rapids tonight to a house near where Grandma lived to play drums. These are the tunes we are going to play. It's not the most exciting setlist of all time - "Nights in White Satin" is probably the worst song ever recorded by anyone, ever, and I'm not especially a fan of "Moondance" just because. I do like "Ramblin' Man" and I guess I don't mind the rest.

I'm hopeful that we sound good tonight.

Seven Years of Lies Cease with a Rumored Deal

Seven years. That's how long Republicans have declared they will repeal & replace ObamaCare. All they could talk about was doing so and that's all it has turned out to be: talk. Instead of having a plan, instead of laying out a clear roadmap, the Republican Senate leader - Mitch McConnell - is reduced to a rumored backroom deal with Democrat Senate leader Charles Schumer, though this is a rumor, per the article Rumors of a Deal Between McConnell and Schumer on Obamacare Non-Repeal.

A rumor.

Seven years of promising to do something has been reduced to a f-cking rumor.

Really?

As expected, people are not happy:
Might as well write the obituary for rock and roll!
