Cancel Metallica?!?
Years ago, I started watching the "Stranger Things" series on Netflix. I watched at least 3 episodes before I got busy with life and now, without keeping up with the series, I am several seasons behind. It's not that I disliked the show - Wynnona Ryder is not ugly after all these years; I just got busy. Also, now, the Internet is buzzing because apparently in the last episode of the current season, a character plays "Master of Puppets" on guitar. One of the results of the Internet is that people try to "cancel" people that they don't understand, which is why this article exists: https://www.loadedradio.com/metallica-cancel-culture.
In my opinion, if you're going to cancel Metallica, cancel them for covering "So What" and "Green Hell" and "Am I Evil", not because of anything else. It just shows how dumb the idea of cancelling someone is.
Editor's Note: "Stranger Things" and "Cancel Culture" are new labels.

Master of Puppets ... again
Just for the record, I do NOT get tired of listening to this song. I have known about its existence for at least 20 years. I didn't get the release on CD until after Karen and I were dating. Karen bought me the Master of Puppets release and Ride the Lightening release on CD in, I think, 1990.

Master of Puppets.... Really?
Somehow, the case for Metallica's "Master of Puppets" ended up on the kids' PC's desk.
"Master of Puppets? Really?" she asks.
So I start singing (from memory)
End of passion play
Crumbling away
I'm your source of self-destruction
Pain monopoly
Brink of misery
Life is getting nearer
Taste me you will see
More is all you need
Dedicated to
How I'm killing you
Come crawling faster
Obey your master
Your life burns faster
Obey your master! Master!
Master of puppets
Pulling your strings
blah blah blah
blah blah blah
Blinded by me you can't see a thing
Just call my name because I'll hear you scream
Master
Master
Just call my name
Because I'll hear you scream
Needlework the way
Never you betray
life of death becoming clearer
pain monopoly ritual misery
chop your breakfast on a mirror
It was here that Megan said, "What?"
I had previously discussed cocaine with her and how dumb people snorted it up their nose to get high. Instead of rehashing that, I started singing "Creeping Death":
Heed to his every word, live in fear
Megan says, "New song?"
"Yep." Pretty soon after that, we had to go upstairs to do something.
