Screenshot is for two tickets to the 11-3-2023 and 11-5-2023 Metallica concert(s) in Saint Louis, MO. I did not click Place Order but I really hope that I will do that by Thursday AM, if not sooner.

CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS!!

My friend Jason just texted me that he has our concert tickets for the Thursday, November 14, 2019, Slayer / Primus / Ministry / Phillip H. Anselmo & the Illegals concert at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline, IL. Section 105, row 7. Serbi, my other friend, and one of Jason's friends are going to sit with us. The ticket was $69 and, with fees, the final price was $80.55, which is less than the face price for the Billy Idol concert on Friday, July 5, 2019!

New Fun Thing to Do

There's something really cool about seeing people who are unfamiliar with the music I love react to the music I love as they hear it for the first time. To paraphrase one of the comments from the "HIP HOP HEAD FIRST REACTION TO LED ZEPPELIN - DAZED AND CONFUSED" video below, watching somebody fall in love with The Music That I Love for the first time brings me so much nostalgic joy. To go back and hear those songs for the first time... bliss.

Brilliant!

The equivalent of The Onion for heavy music fans is MetalSucks.net which I have linked to elsewhere on this blog. 23. Napalm Death - From Enslavement to Obliteration

Just in case you aren't sure that it's meant to be interpreted as satire, there's this clue:

Progress for PA

My hat is tipped to Phillip Anselmo.

Per Blabbermouth.net, PHILIP ANSELMO Says He Is 'Nine Months Clean' And 45 Pounds Lighter Than He Was A Year Ago. All the credit in the world to him and his accomplishment! I turn 50 in December 2019, but I already believe what he says in the red & green boxes below. I do question what his definition of "clean" is, which is underlined in yellow. To my simple mind, if you are sober, you are not taking drugs and you are not drinking booze. Is that what he means by "clean"? Probably.
