ICE Seizes an Immigrant Worker at Bread Garden Market in IC
From https://littlevillagemag.com/ice-seizes-an-immigrant-worker-at-bread-garden-market-in-iowa-city:The agents in plainclothes first attempt to seize González while he is working in the Bread Garden’s outdoor seating area, and an obviously frightened González, who is shouting for help, retreats inside the market. He's tackled by both agents and is held down on the floor, and one of the agents kneels on his head as he continues to call for help. As the agents struggle to handcuff González one of them unholsters a Taser and appears to be about to use it on González, while people shout at him not to do it. The Taser is not used. The video ends after González is forced into the unmarked minivan, and the minivan drives away.
Gonzalez retreated from authorities after being approached.
He's in the wrong.
The reason ICE Agents don't want to be identified is simple - after shootings at ICE facilities, they are doing a job that, like it or not, needs to be done.
I am not saying that this incident was justified and I won't say that it was because nothing in the article indicates why ICE decided to pick him up.
I assure you that no one cares if it was lunchtime or busy or whatever.
This story makes him out to be like this hero.
ICE doesn't target or pick up heroes unless they are not actually a hero...
Also, the title of this article makes it seem like ICE seized a worker who is originally from a different country. Why would ICE, whose focus is on dealing with illegal immigrants "seize" anyone who is not illegally in the country?

Tell Me Why It Matters that Our Country has Laws?
I'm trying. Really, I am.
I accept the fact that I'm not a brilliant mind.
Given even that the blurb is poorly written, I'll attempt to translate the words into the way I translate it within my head, which is as follows:
a federal judge says the Trump administration must allow asylum to immigrants who entered our country illegally.
I can understand this:
a federal judge says the Trump administration must allow asylum to immigrants who entered our country legally.
To say that we, as a country, must grant asylum to someone who broke our law does not make sense to me.
At all.
And yet, there it is, as a headline...

What is Going On?!?
From FOX NEWS FIRST: Dem hypocrisy on display as Trump targets birthright citizenship:
DEMOCRATIC HYPOCRISY ON BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP EXPOSED: President Trump ignited a national debate when, while speaking to "Axios on HBO," he announced his intention to use an executive order to end birthright citizenship, which he called "ridiculous" ... However, top Republicans are pointing to a 1993 speech by then-Nevada Sen. Harry Reid, in which the future Democratic Senate majority leader argued that "no sane country" would award citizenship to children of illegal immigrants born on its soil and promoted his own legislation to end the practice. In his speech, Reid advocated passing a law that would grant citizenship only to the children of mothers in the U.S. legally. Reid reversed his position in 1999, shortly after the powerful union group AFL-CIO changed its position to support birthright citizenship.Within hours of the Reid clip surfacing Tuesday, Republican leaders were quick to highlight Democrats' changing tune on immigration. "Stopping the flow of illegal immigration used to be a bipartisan issue," Ronna McDaniel, RNC chairwoman, wrote on Twitter. "But the Democrat leaders of today want to abolish ICE and open our borders." Former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin reposted an article about Reid's speech. - Reported by Gregg Re.
