The Special 38

Tonight, Karen and I are going to the Riverside Casino to see 38 Special in concert. Originally, we were going to be a part of a group of 4 going to the concert. However, Kathy [of Kathy and Mike] found out that she has to work late so she gave up her tickets and is not going tonight. We learned about that on Monday.

  2. Wild-Eyed Southern Boys
  3. Back Where You Belong
  4. The Sound of Your Voice
  5. Back to Paradise / Honky Tonk Dancer / Rough-Housin'
  6. Teacher Teacher
  7. You Keep Runnin' Away
  8. Somebody Like You
  9. Just a Little Love
  10. Second Chance
  11. Like No Other Night
  12. Heart's on Fire
  13. Radar Rider (Riggs cover)
  14. If I'd Been the One

38 Special is a unique band for me. I don't own any of their albums and I know most of the tunes in the set list I found on setlist.fm, which I think is the sign of 38 Special being a really good band. I *think* I used to own a copy of the following album, which is a greatest hits, but as far as any studio albums? I don't think I've ever owned one of their albums.

I Went Golfing on 10-30 with Jason and Zach and Alex

We stopped playing after hole #12, which was a terrible par 5 - I teed off twice and twice, I lost a ball. It was awful. Alex wanted to get back home to Des Moines so we made that be our last hole. I gave myself par+2 for holes 13 - 18.

When is the LRB Playing?

I like the Little River Band. I remember singing "Lonesome Loser" in elementary school. When I saw this ad for seeing the band in concert, I thought, "Well, that'd be an interesting show." Then I realized that the actual concert date is not displayed ANYWHERE on the ad and I did not crop the ad at all. I consider the omission of the concert date  to be a mistake by the writer on staff in the Riverside Casino Marketing Department.

Terrible Date for a Concert

This is awful. There is no way on earth that I would be able to convince Karen that listening to Aaron Lewis would be a great way to spend Valentine's Day 2020. Sigh...
