Headline Writing 101

The headline writer has an odd sense of what is important at the https://blabbermouth.net/ website. Case in point, the headline about John Cooper doesn't need "Jesus-Loving" in the headline. Why not just write SKILLET's Jesus-Loving Frontman JOHN COOPER: 'I Never Understood The Roots Of Rebellion In Rock And Roll'? The headline for the Lamb of God story is plucked from this paragraph - I made the headline source bold in the quote below:

LAMB OF GOD bassist John Campbell spoke to Australia's Heavy about the band's upcoming album, "Omens", which will arrive this Friday (October 7). He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "I'm excited to finally get it out there. We recorded it back in February. We were working on it well before that. I think it's our best record ever, as I do with every one, 'cause we constantly try to outdo ourselves and I feel like somehow we do it every time. And this record is no different."

Obviously, "our best record ever" is not the full thought. He goes on to say, "as I do with every one" which is what I thought every band says when preparing to release a new album.

I had forgotten that the Lamb of God album Omens is being released tomorrow - I know what I will be listening to during my morning walk.

Horrible SItuation

Speaking of going through horrible situations in life, the video below came to my attention at a Shinedown concert in February 2013 at the Shinedown / Three Days Grace / P.O.D. concert in Moline, IL.

Roughly 6 months passed before I I attended the Carnival of Madness: Shinedown / Skillet / Papa Roach / In This Moment / We As Human concert in Cedar Rapids, IA, USA on Sunday, August 25, 2013. I wrote a concert review for Dailyvault.com and mentioned Amanda Todd's suicide in October 2012. In that review, I also included a link to the video below but that link is broken so I did a search on youtube.com and found the video below.

The next episode of "The Walking Dead" is called "Monster" and... wow, it's difficult to use 'cliche' and the series in the same sentence but I need to: there's not a better title? Speaking of concerts, on Saturday, Theory of a Deadman is playing in Dubuque, IA. I hadn't noticed they had a new album called "Cold Water" until today.
I am 3 months, 3 weeks, 1 day away from my 20 year anniversary as a writer at the dailyvault.com website but it has been 6 months, 2 weeks, 3 days since my last review was published.
Time changes interests of the old (me).

I haven't been a member of a band for 2 years, 9 months, 3 weeks, 2 days, though I've been trying. Thinking about that and not being able to state the day on which I last played the Yamaha drums in the den makes me question if I'm holding onto a dream that is never going to happen. Even if something materialized today, with our summer & then fall schedule, I don't know when I would fit in rehearsals and gigs. In fact, I don't even know when I would be able to say I am going to be at Saint Thomas More to play drums. It may be 2018 before I sit down behind the kit in the church!

Okay, I need to focus on something else. This has turned into a negative avenue of thought.
