Every 'Big 4' Prog Metal Album Ranked From Worst to Best
I don't think of Between the Buried and Me as a prog metal band and I attribute that to the reality that I can't hum a single one of their tunes. Guess I have some research to do.

I have been aware of this tune since college when my friend Jen, who was from Chicago, introduced me to this album. There's some adult words in the lyrics so be aware of that.
This was a different genre of music than what I had ever heard before. It was upbeat, but not Metallica. I had zero idea that they were still playing gigs.

Sigh. I implored the band to stop by and play in Iowa City, IA, but it didn't work out.
Bayside finished their tour in Chicago, skipping a stop at Gabes or the Wildwood in Iowa City as they rode from Denver, CO, to Chicago, IL. Literally, they drove past the exit to my house... but they didn't stop to play. I know that they are going over to Europe for some shows and they have some other gigs coming up, but as of right now, there's no tour dates for this fall. I am hoping that they are going to do more dates later this year and that they will include either a stop in Iowa City or Des Moines.
All that being said, this is a playlist from their San Diego, CA, concert on April 20th.

I have about 1 hour left to listen to but I already consider this interview to be worth revisiting in the future. I had never seen the producer for RTL /MoP/ AJFA so just putting a face to the name is cool. There is a mentioning of Escape, from RTL, and I wish that the interviewer would have asked what was the story behind James Hetfield hating that tune, which I think is a great tune that I wish would be played again.

The last topic is what I think is the most important topic in this article, which is what will the WWE product be as far as whether it is adult, as it was during the Attitude era or if it will tame down the content from targeting adults and to being more directed at your younger fans. I can say that I didn't really let my kids watch a lot of WWE when they were young. As I have mentioned before, from 1994 on, for many years, I would watch WWE with my neighbor Debbie. I think that the kids were around but they were also young enough to not know what they were seeing. I never considered taking them to any live events that came to my area - they were way too young.
Anyways, this article is interesting to read.

HD Turns 40!!
Some movies get imprinted into your brain and "Hot Dog The Movie" is just one of many on my personal list. Today, on 4/25/2024, I celebrate the 40th anniversary of this classic 1984 movie.
No one ever talks about it when people list great comedies of the 1980s, which is a shame. I would include it in my Top Ten along with Better Off Dead, but that's a tangent for another day.

This happened 11 years ago. So much has changed in pro wrestling. I mention AEW below and that company didn't exist in 2013.
--> The Undertaker is (basically) retired, though he interfered in a match at WrestleMania 40 and chokeslammed The Rock.

Ramon Montagner - "Aurora"
Ramon Montagner blew me away! Using two sticks in one hand to swipe across the hihat is not something I have ever seen before. Not saying that he's the only drummer to do it - just saying that he is the first drummer I have ever seen using that technique. He's a great drummer and I really like the way he plays drums!
