Remove the Emptiness

It always seems as though I am seeking a way to remove empty spaces, empty rows, empty columns, and empty paragraphs within the files I work with. For me, it's fun to think about a file, such as a XLSX (MS Excel) or DOCX (MS Word), as a collection of data. Massaging that data and restructuring it, when necessary, is fun for me. For example, my XLSX file had a lot of empty rows - I found this article; My DOCX file had data not in the order I wanted it to be in - I found this article. The manipulation of data within a file is fun.
