Johnson County denounces white supremacy, violence - Johnson County officials voiced their support for the victims of a car attack in Charlottesville, Va., over the weekend and denounced the white supremacist and neo-Nazi ideologies that led to the violence."Johnson County unequivocally condemns the hatred, violence and terrorism committed by extremist and white supremacy-based groups and affirms its commitment to protect people from discrimination and violence," the Johnson County Board of Supervisors said in a resolution passed unanimously on Thursday.The statement came at the board's first formal meeting since a car plowed into a crowd of people protesting a white supremacist gathering in Charlottesville, killing one person and injuring at least 19 others.
