New McDonald's CEO moves to clean up corporate culture
McDonald's new CEO is signaling
the party's over at the fast food chain, which has seen its share of
negative headlines thanks to a culture that allowed fraternizing between senior
managers and employees. CEO Chris Kempczinski is vowing to restore a more
professional atmosphere at the company, the Wall Street Journal reports,
meeting with employees across the organization and launching a search for a top
flight HR executive to restore its image. The company axed former CEO Steve
Easterbrook in November after he revealed a consensual relationship with an
employee, CNBC reported, leading to reports that, under his leadership, the
fast food giant tolerated late-night partying between senior managers and
rank-and-file employees.
