I know very few tunes and of her tunes, my favorite is called "Blank Spaces" only because I first heard I Prevail cover the tune.“Blank Space” (2014)

Introducing MH
I had never really listened to Matt Halpern or his band Periphery until yesterday. This is not the Jon Dette situation. I only became aware of Matt Halpern through the 80/20 Drummer and the video he posted yesterday. It is a video that opened my eyes to a band I hope tours soon because if they come anywhere close to eastern Iowa, I am going to go see Matt Halpern play his drums.

Each and every time when I listen to that file, I can hear this tune, which is a classic tune that everyone should know about because of its bassline, its drumming, and its musical journey. The sad thing about this tune is that it's buried on side 2 of the cassette which means that in order to hear the tune - and in the circumstances when I don't want to listen to the entire album - I have to skip quite a bit of other great tunes in order to hear it.

Metallica Blackened - Drum Cover by Jon Dette (Slayer, Anthrax, Testament)
A crime has been committed... by me. In the 11,134 posts prior to this post, I have never created a post with a "Jon Dette" label... and that's horrible. Dette is a phenomenal drummer with immense drumming talent and the fact that I have enjoyed watching Dette play drums - not just recently, but for quite a few years - and had never thought to include a video of his drumming in a post. Forgiveness is a great character trait I am hoping to be granted for such an oversight on my part.
