From a Facebook post:
You guys…I need each and every one of you to know you helped save a life. Mine. I really thought I'd be able to make this post anonymously so here goes:
I had a plan to end my life following the concert. A solid well laid out plan. Sunday changed me. The whole weekend did, but you guys and the love of music convinced me to check myself in and STAY! If for no other reason than to see your fine faces next year.
Thank you LTL '25, you changed me.

I read that and was moved to respond:

I didn't make the concert, don't know you, and I have tears in my eyes. I'm 55 and would just say that no matter what happens in life, you start a new day with each sunrise. Someone smarter than me said that each day, you get $1440 (24 hours x 60, though no, I hope you sleep some) to spend and you can't carry any of it to the next day - Groundhog Day in a way - so make sure you live each day with purpose and determination. I don't know what led you to that dark place so I can't try to fix it, also, I'm in Iowa. I saw 3DG last night and they sang a tune that they said their fans had told them helped get through tough times. This is the tune that they played, maybe it will help you.
Sorry if you don't like 3DG, but it's what I can offer to you. Good luck and I hope you figure out what you need to do.
I'm going to say one last thing that I am thinking about after reading your post. There's a Netflix series called 13 Reasons Why that deals with the impact what you were considering has on the loved ones. Some people criticized the series and maybe those criticisms are right - I watched the series and was struck by how much pain people felt in the aftermath by people who barely were associated. I'm convinced that people make a difference in this world in ways that they never are aware of so please consider the impact you have made on this stranger....
You have an entire community rooting for you, despite varying music tastes, food likes and dislikes, and, probably, big things like politics and religion. Everyone is hoping that you can figure out your situation with all of our collective energy. Take care of yourself and I will add you to my daily intentions when I pray.

I really hope she pushes her way to a better mental health scenario.
