Good and bad news in the state of Iowa as far as college athletics.
First, the Iowa men's basketball team got bounced out of the arena in Seattle by Gonzaga in an embarrassing 19 point blowout. It's kind of okay because I picked Gonzaga in my NCAA pool.
Second, the Iowa women's basketball team bounced Miami out of Carver-Hawkeye Arena with their decisive victory yesterday. They are going to the Sweet 16.
Third, and finally, the UNI men's basketball team were defeated last night to end their season.
I'll hold off predictions for next season until the Iowa women's team ends their season.
