Success

Our brief vacation to Omaha, NE, was a success. I always enjoy spending time with Karen and the kids. The reality is that Megan will be a freshman at UNI this fall. It's a short 5 months away! Too soon, she will be moved into her dorm room and begin attending classes. At some point, she'll start thinking of Cedar Falls as her "home" because that's where she will be building her new life and meeting new people. There are only 5 short months left of our family dynamic being what it is now - with both Alex and Megan living in our house. Vividly, I remember what it was like to come home after my first year at Mount Mercy and, perhaps even more vividly, I remember that my relationship with my parents was never the same. Ever.
