No Surprise

I wasn't surprised when I read that Jake Rudock was transferring from the University of Iowa football program to another school's football program. Thinking this was an April Fool's Day joke, I checked the Gazette and found this article. The meat and potatoes of this move is that Jake Rudock is transferring from the University of Iowa football program to the University of Michigan football program. The Wolverines. The team that plays in the "Big House" with a new head football coach this year. Jake Rudock is using his final year of eligibility to become a Michigan Wolverine. Meanwhile, junior-to-be C.J. Beathard is the #1 quarterback. As these articles point out, there was a lot of controversy about who should be the starting QB and, clearly, the idea of using two quarterbacks didn't really work out. I wish Rudock the best, which is what his teammates should do as well.

Unlike other student athletes who transfer to another school, Jake Rudock's Michigan team does not play Iowa, per this schedule.
