Confessions are good for the soul.
Scott Abel, who goes by the name "the Content Wrangler" on his blog, wrote this on his blog yesterday: "Although I have spent most of my professional life evangelizing the need for others to deliver personalized content—the right content to the right people, at the right time, in the right format—I haven’t been doing it myself. - read it here. When I read his confession, I thought, "How brave." That's all. Just that it's brave to confess a fault on a blog that is read by strangers and friends alike. More power to Scott.
A brief epilogue about going to confession because I think it's really funny. Last year, Louie, my father-in-law, went to confession in Balltown. The priest gave him the following penance: take your wife (my mother-in-law) to see "Selma" in the theater. Louie is known for not being impressed with a lot of movies. He turns 80 in a couple of weeks and would tell you that Elvis is awful and Lawrence Welk is fantastic. I often think Louie adores Welk as much as I adore Metallica. And yeah, I do love Metallica. I found this last night and played to it on the Yamaha electronic set.
