Lars Ulrich has been quoted as saying that June 2016 is when Metallica will figure out how the music they've been recording will be released so, I hope to hear news regarding this soon. I really enjoy watching the "behind the scenes" videos from the recording sessions for Metallica's "Death Magnetic" release. It must have been difficult to assemble the hours of footage from the months they spent recording so that the bits about "All Nightmare Long" were all together. That song could have taken, for example, weeks to put together and during those weeks, maybe they worked on other tunes in the same day. It would be fascinating to see all of the footage without editing out what was edited. I seriously wonder if the band members trusted the editor(s) to do this work or if they watched it before it was released. Here is a video that is called the "best of" in the title - only those that were in the studio during the recording sessions really know if this video is appropriately named or not.
