Really? LZ = Growly Vocals?

Alex is taking a “Soundscapes” class at UNI – he’s a freshman – and he sent me the attached slides from his professor’s PowerPoint presentation. I’ve asked him to send me the entire PPT file because I want to see more. Led Zeppelin = “Growly vocals”? Cannibal Corpse’s “Hammer Smashed Face” is “growly” vocals...

The top slide shows Terry Bozzio - a monster drummer I've never mentioned on this blog (apparently) - who played in Missing Persons. Their Spring Session M album never got a lot of widespread recognition, but I used to listen to it quite a bit.
