Position Description Editorial Solution is seeking a technical writer to work at our client’s site in Omaha Nebraska. The incumbent should have experience in writing policies, standard operating procedures, runbooks, work instructions, and user-guide manuals. Project is expected to last six months.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with SMEs & Stakeholders to document Policies & Procedures that's clear, concise, and easy to understand
  • Ability to understand IT terminologies to be able to gather info from SME’s and explicate perspicuously for novice users
  • May create template & style guide or have the ability to adhere to existing template
  • Maintain documentation library on SharePoint
  • Create process flow diagram on Microsoft Visio
Position Requirements
  • 2 to 5 years of experience as a technical writer
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience using Microsoft Visio and Microsoft SharePoint
  • Experience using Adobe RoboHelp would be a plus
  • Ability to work with IT team collaboratively
  • Ability to communicate with management and stakeholders
  • Ability to meet deadlines
Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or Computer Science * Technical Writing Certification is a plus
Compensation: * $ 30 / hour
