I worked at Quintrex for 12 years. For at least the final 1249 days (3 years, 5 months), I did the work of 2 people. When my friend BSS left Quintrex, a replacement was not hired. In addition to being the (only) technical writer, I became the primary GUI/400 user interface designer / software release guru. I only mention this fact because I saw this article: Should I Accept More Responsibility at Work Without an Increase in Compensation?
Just for the record, no, my salary was not doubled when I took on the work duties that BSS had performed while an employee at Quintrex.
