A boy is invited to Thanksgiving dinner at his girlfriend's parent's house so that they can meet him.
They've been together a while but haven't had sex yet.
His girlfriend tells him that after he meets her parents they can "get intimate". So in preparation, he decides to get some condoms at the local drugstore.
As this will be his first time, he doesn't know anything about condoms and so he asks the pharmacist what he should buy.
The pharmacist explains all about the differences between the brands and after a long chat the boy decides on a large box of "ribbed for her pleasure".
The time comes for the Thanksgiving dinner and the young couple are seated at the dinner table with the girl's parents.
The girl is surprised to see the boy has his head bowed down apparently deep in prayer.
She whispers to him, "I didn't know you were so religious!"
He whispers back, "I didn't know your father was a pharmacist."

The Therapist
I've never seen "The Therapist" until today. I want to see more of him after seeing how he talks to Corey Taylor in this video:
4383 Days Ago
It started with this A Start, when Alex, my son, was in third grade. He is now a junior at UNI.
I divided 8902 by 4383 and came up with 2.031028975587497 posts / day for an average, but that is actually misleading. After the "A Start" post, I didn't post again for 113 days (3/18/2008). Thus, on 3/18/2020, I will have been writing this blog for 12 years (4383 days). If I wanted to average 3 posts / day on the 12th anniversary of this blog, I would need 13,149 posts. I have published 8902 posts to date so I would need (gulp) 4247 posts in the time between today, 11/26/2019, and Wednesday, March 18, 2020, which is, yes, 113 days, which would actually then require 37.58407079646018 posts a day to reach that goal.
Um, yeah.
No, not going to happen.
What if I chose the 20th anniversary of this blog, which is Saturday, March 18, 2028? I would need 21915 posts to average 3 posts a day. That is 3035 days away. I would need 7.220757825370675 posts a day.
Ideas to consider...

Thankfully, I am sharing this email about Lui Peng
This is the video being "pushed" by ferryhouse productions GmbH & Co. KG through Anne Riedel, PR Manager, but I also really REALLY like the second video for the tune called "nocturnal (feat. Che Lingo)". I have committed words on this blog about the fact that I think I am in touch with the music scene, as a whole, but also, at the same time, when I find out that the "nocturnal (feat. Che Lingo)" video was released 858 days (2 years, 4 months, 5 days) ago, I question how in touch I actually am as I had never heard of Lui Peng until today.
I have another thought about these emails I receive from PR firms such as ferryhouse productions, which is that I wonder what it would be like to create a brand-new blog and post all of the press releases I receive to it. I wonder if that blog could, then, be turned into a resource for new music. Maybe, perhaps, that can be a project I undertake beginning with 1/1/2020 because, after all, I don't have enough going on in my life and I need another project to take on prior to finishing my CD to MP3 conversion, my cassette tapes to MP3 conversion, and my scanning our pictures conversion.
It's just an idea.
Anyways, I'm digging Lui Peng today.
If you want more, go here.

LUI PENG
British-Chinese artist Lui Peng releases his new single “Casual Lover”‘CASUAL LOVER’ ADMITS THAT FOR ONE TO MOVE ON, BEING THERE FOR SOMEONE WHO IS IN THE SAME SHOES IS A DANGEROUS GAME TO PLAYListen to ‘Casual Lover’ here.Watch ‘Casual Lover’ lyric video here.‘melancholic piano melody together with 80s guitar tones’LATEST SINGLE FROM UPCOMING EP “UNAVAILABLE”______________________‘Casual Lover’ is Lui Peng’s most fun yet trickiest song to sing and produce. This song is about two people getting over a breakup and finding solace in spending time with each other. Their hearts yearn for their past lovers but are in denial for the sake of their own feelings. It is not a sad song nor a happy one. The song plays around with your feelings but at the same time it brings about the harsh realities of overcoming the past. The lovers in this story acknowledge that even though they are not both a thing, as long as they feel safe with each other, things will temporarily be alright. Love is a drug ready to break free. ‘Casual Lover’ admits that for one to move on, being there for someone who is in the same shoes, is a dangerous game to play.‘Casual Lover’s’ melancholic piano melody together with 80s guitar tones makes it a perfect song to listen to on a rainy day or a night in. If you strip away all the instrumentals, and leave out the finger snaps here and there, this song is great as it is even in acapella. Lui Peng’s soothing voice will bring you closer to heaven.Casual Lover is taken from Lui Peng’s upcoming Unavailable EP.Lui Peng is looking back on a pretty busy 2018. Having released several tracks leading into his latest EP “Feathers” plus a hand-full of collaborations with artists such as Reece Lemonius and having toured Asia for the first time in his career including shows at Singapore’s Music Matters there sure was a lot happening for the London based artist. While all this has happened, he was permanently working on new music.----------------------------

What are the most important relationships in your
life?
Your husband? Your kids? Your parents? Your girlfriends?
Your husband? Your kids? Your parents? Your girlfriends?

What’s the
key to making those relationships work? It’s communication,
isn’t it?
That’s so true in my life — especially in my marriage to Greg. One of the things I’ve learned is that no matter what words I say, I often send an underlying message too. How I speak to him — the tone I use — has big impact on what he hears. Have you experienced this with your husband?

In Ephesians 5:33, the Apostle Paul succinctly
lays out the “communication code” for a healthy marriage. He tells the husband
to love his wife, and the wife to respect her husband.
Love and Respect.
Men need respect. Women need love. It’s as simple — and as complicated — as that.
Though husbands and wives need both — in addition to many other types of emotional support — men seem to need more help learning to love their wife well. And wives often need more reminders to intentionally respect their husband.

Though husbands and wives need both — in addition to many other types of emotional support — men seem to need more help learning to love their wife well. And wives often need more reminders to intentionally respect their husband.
This relationship dynamic is timeless, and it is
powerfully important for married couples like you and your husband no matter
where they come from or what their circumstances are.
That’s why Love & Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs is such a great marriage book. It’s one of my favorites! Dr. Eggerichs shows how God has designed men and women to be different but also complementary. Dr. Eggerichs also lays out some of the best practical advice for understanding and working out a balance in marriage.

and strengthen your connection with your husband.

This story - Mom’s BRILLIANT Excuse Note For Tardy Teen Daughter Goes Viral Emmanuel Emmanuel - has a published date of November 16, 2019. However, the BRILLIANT excuse note has a date of 9/16/2016, which was 1156 days (3 years, 2 months) from the published date.
Regardless, it is a funny note and I give extra credit for using the word "multitudinous" in her note.

Whew! That was a Close One!
Thankfully, KRNA reports today that The Motley Crue Tour is way too expensive for Iowa, which is a good thing for me. Per the article, Motley Crue receives $2,000,000 for their concert, Def Leppard receives $1,000,000, and Poison receives $250,000.
Know what?
Poison deserves at least the same as Def Leppard or, to be closer to their actual value, I would say they should get $500,000.

When Will I See Bayside?
These are the only tour dates Bayside has posted on their website. I know the only show I can attend is on Sunday, December 22, 2019, in Omaha, NE, which is a 5 hour drive each way and, because of that fact, I would need to stay overnight in Omaha, paay for a hotel, and use a day of vacation on Monday, December 23, 2019.
If I were to go to Omaha, NE, in a limo, it would cost waaayy too much coin so I have ruled that out.
I really have two choices:
As long as there are tickets still available for the show, I'll probably just dwell and wonder about this. A part of me wishes they would sell out so I wouldn't have to choose...

I really have two choices:
- I can bite the bullet and go to Omaha, NE, which will cost a lot of money.
- I can hold out that they will include Iowa City (best case) or Des Moines (second best case) when they tour in the future.

Must See is not Equal to All People
I received an email from TicketWeb that announced that these were "Must See" concerts. I looked at the bands / artists that TicketWeb cites as "Must See" and I know ONE band / artist, which is Jackyl, who I have zero desire to see in concert - they are certainly NOT a "Must See" band in my mind. Nonetheless, I found the email amusing enough to include below:
