Not Qualified - Wish I was!

I noticed this position on the Dailywire.com website. 

To be clear, NO, I am not qualified, I wouldn't be "up" for 75% travel, and I don't have prior experience as a Producer. 

I do wish that Dailywire.com had a "Senior Technical Writer" position available to document their Business Continuity and/or Disaster Recovery content.


The Daily Wire is actively searching for a talented and seasoned Producer to join our growing Production team! This is dream opportunity for a professional Producer with a passion for and experience in content production. It also offers an exciting and unique chance to work closely with a high-profile talent. We are seeking experienced candidates who have 7+ years of successfully working in similar roles and are comfortable in a position with heavy travel requirements; this Producer will travel for work up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute the creative vision of clients, talent, and leadership team on video and audio content
  • Oversee production, post-production, and publishing of daily video and audio content
  • Manage show hosts, talent, and guests to ensure quality and timely work
  • Provide creative services as needed including but not limited to: show prep, segment prep, storyboarding, etc. for video and audio content
  • Originate ideas daily for new projects connected to the content and style of assigned show/projects
  • Work with Production and Post-Production teams to ensure quality and timely work
  • Work with Production leadership to create and work within manageable budgets and schedules for Production delivery and asset creation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience & Requirements:

  • Nashville, TN -based position, however, must be comfortable with heavy travel requirements
  • Willing and able to travel for work up to 75% of the time
  • 7+ years of similar work experience in a professional production environment preferred
  • Experience with international production and prep preferred
  • Comfortable working weekends and holidays as needed
  • Prior podcast production experience preferred
  • Familiar with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and AfterEffects
  • Working knowledge of video and sound editing
  • Familiar with of all aspects of post-production for video and film
  • Strong instinct for creative and storytelling
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • G-suite proficiency

Reports to: Executive Vice President of Production

Start date: Immediate

Employment type: Full-time; Exempt

Compensation: DOE
