Yes, I Have Focus
For Immediate Release
Dutch Music Legends Focus Announce Release of New Studio Album “Focus 11” - OUT NOW!
The current members of Focus are Thijs van Leer, Pierre van der Linden, Menno Gootjes and Udo Pannekeet and they are pleased to announce the worldwide release of the new studio album, “Focus 11.”
This is the band's first new studio album in just over 6 years and forms part of the build up to the band's forthcoming 50th Anniversary. The band is also just starting a world tour, in support of the album, which will be launched on Cruise to the Edge 2019.
The 11 track album has been released as a CD, gatefold coloured LP and Download on the band's own In And Out of Focus Records, via Cherry Red. The album features artwork by Roger Dean.
When asked about the album, Thijs van Leer responded with this poem:
Wow, my joy could not increase
To see this new release
It has Mazzel, Palindrome and Heaven
Plus a title track called Eleven
Both angelic and a beast
It's Focus, to say the least!
Wonder if this is as good as the 1999 album by Yes called “The Ladder”?

Dream No More from AL
While I'm always ready to hear Metallica live, I will say that their "Dream No More" tune is not one of my favorites on Hardwired to Self-Destruct. I prefer "Atlas Rise" or "Spit out the Bone" or "Halo on Fire." I'm not saying it's a bad tune - it's just one I prefer less than the other 3 I just mentioned.

F4 Rules
This article - Adding Multiple Rows to a Table - is relevant to me.
From the article, you can replace "Heather" with my name and it would be true:
The solution? Press F4 to repeat the action you just took.
Pressing the F4 key in MS Word repeats the action you just took & I plan to utilize that in the future.
From the article, you can replace "Heather" with my name and it would be true:
Heather often works with templates that have three-row tables already present (i.e. a header row plus three empty rows). Sometimes, she needs to add 10 or 20 rows to the table. To insert the rows, Heather highlights the three existing rows and clicks 'Insert Row Below.' She then selects all six rows and repeats the process, until she has the number of rows she need. This is tedious, so Heather is wondering if there's a way to simply tell Word how many rows she wants to add, rather than having to take this patchwork approach or create a whole new table.
The solution? Press F4 to repeat the action you just took.
There are actually many different ways you can add the rows you want to the table. (Flexible? Yep. Word is flexible!) One way is to rely on the trusty F4 key. Insert a single row into your table, and then repeatedly press the F4 key until you have the number of rows you want. The F4 key repeats whatever your last action was, and since the action just before you pressed it was to insert a row, that's what each press of F4 accomplishes.
Pressing the F4 key in MS Word repeats the action you just took & I plan to utilize that in the future.
Two New-to-Me Bands
I had never heard of the two bands - ATHANASIA & INTRCPTR - until I watched their respective videos. The two bands have different vibes, but that doesn't prevent me from stating I think elements of both bands are what I seek in my ever-elusive "Ideal Band."
I am not a death metal / growly vocal music fan. As I'm sure I've documented on other posts on this blog, I tend to still listen to those bands because I find the drummers to be interesting. I'm thinking of Chris Adler in Lamb of God as an example. For ATHANASIA's tune "The Order Of The Silver Compass," the aspect that stuck out to me is how there is a difference in the singer's vocal delivery. Sometimes he's guttural and I don't understand what he is singing. Other times, he has a metal vocalist style and I do understand what he is singing. When I watched the ATHANASIA video, I was aware of how much confidence exuded from them. Granted, it's a "music video" but that's still not a reason to sense that they would be a great band live.
Then I got to a tune called "Turbines" by the band INTRCPTR. It also has traits I want in an "Ideal Band." The tune is instrumental and I can tell they worked on the song structure as there's not vocals to be a roadmap for them to go from section to section. It sounds like a jam session!

Elias disrespects Jeff Jarrett, Road Dogg and the people of Portland: Raw, Feb. 4, 2019
I love nostalgia, as much as the next guy, when it is serving a purpose.
A feud between Elias & Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett (with Road Dogg) serves no purpose. Maybe there is some reason for this feud but, to me, there has to be some non-WWE Hall of Famer talent on the WWE roster that would be a better feud for Elias. My issue is that I like Elias as a tweener, which means that he is not a full-fledged villain (heel) and not a full-fledged good guy (face). His character seems to fit that tweener area nicely because it's rather subtle when he acts as a face. A couple of weeks ago, all he did was tell Braun Strowman (another face) where to go to find Baron Corbin, who Strowman was chasing. It was subtle. A heel wouldn't have helped Strowman. When Elias is a heel, you know it. He tells the audience to shut their mouths and insults the city he is in with an original song. Is Elias actually a talented guitarist? It seems so - I believe his character is a talented guitarist.
I guess the overall story arc is unclear, at this point. Yes, Jeff Jarrett & Elias tangled at the Royal Rumble PPV last month so, sure, I get that this feud had a good starting point and it makes sense for the two of them to be feuding. Still, as I wrote above, is there really not some non-WWE Hall of Famer talent on the WWE roster that would be a better feud for Elias? Jeff Jarrett & Road Dogg are not long-term members of the roster. Jeff Jarrett is 51; Road Dogg is 49; Elias is 31. That tells me, frankly, that Elias has (roughly) 20 more years of pro wrestling ahead of him.

Let Us Discuss About The Job - Those are Not My Words
I'm sure there's a line that can be drawn between these perspectives about the job ad below:
- being a snobby technical writing professional who demands any contact from recruiters to be good writing
- being a non-snobby technical writing professional who accepts that non-writers struggle with writing, which is what created the void that I, as a technical writer, fill during my time at work.
- Starts a sentence with "am" instead of "I am" jumped out and bit me.
- No space between "set!" and "This" in the third line.
- The last line ends with two periods [..] which means the writer either wanted to use an ellipsis [...] or accidentally typed two periods to end the sentence, which is a typo.

Clearing the Slate
I've played 3097 games of Rummy on my cell phone. I have 1277 (~40%) victories & 1820 (~60%) defeats. I want to flip those percentages but for right now, it is what it is.
