30 Years

There's an anniversary to mark today: it was 10957 days ago when I met my wife, Karen, on 9/18/1988 - 30 years ago. I was on a Mount Mercy College bus trip to see the Chicago White Sox play the Minnesota Twins with Mark Klamut. Per http://www.baseball-almanac.com/box-scores/boxscore.php?boxid=198809180MIN, the final score was Chicago White Sox 8, Minnesota Twins 5. While the Twins lost, I won!

1784 days (4 years, 10 months, 2 weeks, 6 days) later, we were married.
1103 days (3 years, 1 week) later, Megan was born.
1902 days (5 years, 2 months, 2 weeks, 1 day) later, Alex was born.

None of the above milestones would have happened if I had not been on that bus trip.
