I will say that
- NOTHING that would get me to this 3 day concert in IL, which starts tomorrow. It's a really crappy schedule. On Friday and Saturday, there is (literally) five minutes between the band ending on the "Failure Stage" (what an awful name!) and the band starting on the "Nuclear Blast Stage." What if you wanted to see bands on both stages?!? For example, I've heard of Milwaukee's Jungle Rot and Grave (don't know where they are from). Jungle Rot finishes on their set on the "Failure Stage" (what an awful name!) at 11:05 PM and, then, Grave starts at 11:10 PM on the "Nuclear Blast Stage."
- 49 bands playing is quite impressive. That's 49 drum sets that have to be set up and torn down, at least 49 bass rigs, and at least 49 mics to set up for the vocalist. If there are two guitarists in each band, that's 98 guitar rigs to set up. Plus, if there are any backdrops with the band's logo? Plus any sort of stage things, like a platform for the singer to stand upon while he sings?
- I would love to be in the backstage area to learn what it takes to get the bands from the backstage area to the stage and then backstage. I sincerely hope all the bands are cool to each other and to the people who are putting on the festival.
