As outlined in the article, it is my hope, as a father, that I have prepared my kids for these 7 Harsh Realities Of Life. I will likely never know for sure whether I was a good father or not. I write that because, frankly, they are getting to the point in their lives where I am less and less involved in their daily lives. Megan is in Cedar Falls; Alex is a senior and (hopefully) will join her next year in Cedar Falls. I certainly plan to be "there" for both kids for the rest of the days I walk on this planet, but the future is what it is: unwritten and uncertain.
