Let the Hole be Dug and Let the Hole be a new Beginning

When I posted this article America Has Done What Seemed Unthinkable Donald Trump Is The Next President. What happens tomorrow is alarming and unclear, I had an epiphany about this blog. I don't want to write about politics on a daily basis. The 2016 election cycle is over but, of course, the 2020 cycle is just beginning. I saw a Twitter post that voiced support for Elizabeth Warren in 2020.

That aside, I am changing my approach to this blog. To the right, in my list of pages there will soon be a "Get Your Political Opinions Here" page. My plan is to keep a running table, perhaps by month, perhaps by year - I'm not certain - that includes all the links to articles that I would normally make into a post. What I want to do is to shift the focus of this blog from politics to my other interests:

• Technical Writing
• drums
• bands I like
• Bayside
• Metallica
• new bands I don't know about
• old bands I've not invested into
• movies
• Star Wars
• Movies about DC Comic heroes
• Movies about Marvel Comic heroes
• The Walking Dead

If allowed, these interests will provide more than enough content on this blog without jeopardizing the goal of 4000 posts on 12/31/2016. By the way, this is a snippet of my Excel worksheet where I am tracking my progress towards 4000 posts.

So all that to say that if you come to this blog expecting to see links to political articles, you will still find them, but not scattered among the posts about the interests I outlined above. You will need to go to the "Get Your Political Opinions Here" page instead. Perhaps I will keep the political posts isolated until 1/1/2019. It will be about then when I would expect the 2020 Election cycle to begin accelerating.
