In high school, I would attend concerts at the Five Seasons Center. I was a rebel and, sometimes, would sneak in my dad's cassette recorder to record the concert I was watching. I was never supposed to do so - I was told so by the big signs that said, "No video / audio recording" as I walked into the venue.
Fast-forward to 2017 and 30 years later, bands still sometimes do not want to be recorded. The latest example is the band A Perfect Circle. Read this: http://news.radio.com/2017/11/08/a-perfect-circle-eject-60-fans-taking-pictures/
I get it.
Doesn't mean I don't want to record video / audio for my own purposes...
