Bash the Word

It's Friday.

After waking up this AM with a 'clean the house because company is coming' hangover, it's refreshing to be at work, using Microsoft Word. Unlike the author of this article, I like MS Word. The author mentions WordPerfect (WP) and I did use WP in college. A lot. I began using it to write my papers for my classes sometime in 1991. At Mount Mercy College, the top floor of the McAuley dorm was called the Penthouse. The Penthouse had three rooms (in addition to bathrooms). One was a kitchen, one was a common area (the largest) and one was a room with three, maybe four, computers. That's where I wrote a lot of my papers. The room had a window that overlooked the campus and, when possible, I chose the computer closest to the window. This was back in the day of using 5 1/4" floppy disks. I don't really have a point to this post except to point out that not everyone shares my enthusiasm for using MS Word.
