Hawkeye Football

Late yesterday afternoon, Karen called to say that she could get two tickets to today's Iowa versus Indiana game at Kinnick Stadium. I thought it was a great idea for how to spend a Saturday. We picked up the tickets on our way home, paying $130 for them. The original owner cannot go to the game because of a funeral.
Thus, I am in our living room at 6:32 AM. The plan is to leave at 7. Alex and I will go get breakfast pizza at Casey's, then park near IHOP so we can ride the Hawkeye Express to the stadium. That's what our tradition has been. When we get off the train, we go to the recreation building and wait until the drumline goes to warm up by the entrance of Kinnick Stadium. After the drumline warms up, they return to the recreation building and the band plays. It's not until after that do we go to the gate of Kinnick Stadium and then to our seats.
I'm excited to be going to the game. It's the first time going this year. I'm thinking it will be the only one we go to in 2014.
