There are multiple reasons I love reading Erick Erickson's columns. One of those reasons is his headline writing style. For example, this is an article published today:
Bloomberg News Yet Again Screws Up Major Story and Doubles Down on Stupid
The first 8 words establish the subject (Bloomberg News) as well as his opinion about the subject (Screws Up Major Story) and then, to cap it off, the final 4 words emphasize his opinion (Doubles Down on Stupid).
I want to channel Erick Erickson's headline writing style in my technical writing, especially my disaster recovery documentation! "System Down Yet Again and the Lack of Information Doubles Down on False Premise that a Disaster Will Never Happen Here" 😀
