Indeed Failure on a Friday
I still find my emails from Indeed.com to evoke a smirk when reading about how a "Caterpillar Technician" or a "Quick Lane Manager" job is a match for a "Technical Writer" job. It proves that when you search for "technical"+"writer", you will not necessarily view results for "technical writer." It also proves that if you enter the wrong search terms, you will get the wrong search results. If I am using the most robust of all search engines and enter the wrong search terms, I will always get the wrong search results. This thought applies to the work I do as a technical writer with my Disaster Recovery project as well as with my Knowledge Management project. Technology never defeats incorrect input - the "garbage in, garbage out' philosophy always wins.
