I'll repeat my statement I made on another post that is not at my fingertips in a different word order. Currently, Dave Mustaine (Megadeth) is fighting cancer.

BUT......
If Dave Mustaine is unable to return to the Ozzy Osbourne tour in 2020 and Megadeth has to withdraw, my choice for replacing Megadeth would be Metallica.

The 2020 Ozzy Osbourne tour in the United States has the dates in the table below. The way I see it, Metallica would have a month break between the end of the South American dates (and really, it's "only" 6 concerts x 2.5 hours each so "only" 15 hours onstage. Maybe it will happen, maybe it will not. I do not have an issue / problem with seeing Megadeth as, frankly, even if Dave Mustaine does recover fully from his current fight with cancer, I honestly do not envision another 10 years of touring in his future - I feel the same way about Metallica. But then, again, I plan to work until I am 66 years, 3 months, 3 weeks, 3 days (24221 days) old, God-willing!
