Never a My Chemical Romance fan. Listened to "The Black Parade" and wondered why they were considered so great. Then, just a few moments ago, I get this press release:
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE DISBAND
My Chemical Romance announced today that they are disbanding. A message from the band posted on www.mychemicalromance.com states:
"Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing. We've gotten to go places we never knew we would. We've been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible. We've shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends. And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end. Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure."
I hope the members find the right musicians to play with and that, say, 10 years ago, they don't do a money grab and reunite for a tour or crappy "reunion" release. If you're going to quit, then quit.
