Following up to what I wrote about earlier about the match I think is going to happen between Sheamus / Randy Orton / Big Show v. The Shield, I was a little stunned to read the following SmackDown report. The relevant info follows:
Sheamus and Randy Orton defeat Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow
A solid match to kick off the show, but Sheamus and Orton would take this one. Sheamus landed his Brogue Kick on Sandow and Orton performed the RKO on Rhodes, which resulted in the winning pinfall.
The Shield would challenge Sheamus and Orton to a six-man tag match at WrestleMania 29 after the match. Of course, the duo accepted the challenge.
<snip>
After that, Big Show was seen backstage and shared his desire to be the tag partner versus The Shield, but Orton tells Show he already found someone and that someone is Ryback.
As of now, I do not believe Ryback will be in this match.There is still the feud between Ryback and Mark Henry that hasn't been fleshed out. Consider this paragraph about the Ryback v. Mark Henry match on in the aforementioned report:
This match never happened, either. The match started but just seconds into it, The Shield would attack Ryback and while he was able to fend him off originally, The Shield ended up getting the better of Ryback and trio powerbombed him. When The Shield was done, Henry enjoyed not one, but three World's Strongest Slams.
I think it is much more intriguing to have Big Show, who has been a loner and has feuded with Orton and Sheamus, turning into a "good guy" for this match. Even after reading what happens on SmackDown, I think there is enough time for Ryback to not be in the match against the Shield. Actually, I see Mark Henry aligning himself with the Shield and turning this into a Shield / Mark Henry v. Sheamus / Orton / Ryback / Big Show match at WM XXIX.
